To say that my daughter was thrilled with her brand new pink electric scooter, would be an understatement! Needless to say, she couldn't wait to take off on her Razor E100!
Luckily, she was able to borrow her friend's helmet,(pink, naturally, to match her pink electric scooter), and it was equally lucky that it fit. Before she took off, I wanted to briefly look over the owner's manual.
As anxious as she was to get going, she didn't like that at all!
Apparently, the Razor E100 Electric Scooter needs to have a running start in order to engage the engine. The rider must attain a speed of approximately 3 mph, before pressing a button and starting the motor. Once the motor is going, riders can whiz along at up to ten m.p.h. Fast enough to have fun, but not so speedy as to be dangerous.
The average 9 year old, for example, hits around 8-10 m.p.h. when running at full speed.
Pink Electric Scooter- The First Trip
Another great feature of the Razor E100 Electric Scooter is that the handlebars can be folded. We have a garage that is absolutely stuffed with junk, (mostly mine), so space is at a premium.
Finally, after I quickly scanned the owner's manual, my daughter was off and running! She was definitely a "study" in pink, as she wore a pink wind breaker to match her pink electric scooter. Of course, her helmet is pink, too.
She got the running start down fairly quickly, and it only took a few tries to get the Razor E100 Electric Scooter "purring" like a kitten! And I do mean "purring!" the Razor E100 is amazingly quiet, which was a pleasant surprise.
Our neighbors will definitely appreciate that!
She was quite a sight, "scooting" down the sidewalk on her pink electric scooter, her long blonde hair flying in the wind! On her initial run, we allowed her to take the scooter to her friend's house, and back.
It is about a 20 minute round trip.
